In Tool, an antique wrench anchors the composition like a relic, while a torn textbook page is held in place within layers of reclaimed frame wood and salvaged hardware. The title lands twice: once in metal, and again in language, the word tool appearing in the center of the page, half-hidden by the rip for anyone patient enough to notice. Decoupaged textbook papers, frame samples (including the tiny triangle offcuts at the bottom), a rosette corner, and components rescued from a dismantled appliance come together as a small shrine to usefulness. Here, function doesn't disappear, it simply changes shape.
